Good news from the Church Planting Seminar in Crimea!

Eastern European Mission is blessed to participate in distributing Christian literature throughout the world. One of such opportunities is taking part in the annual Church Planting Seminar held in Crimea. For several years, Eastern European Mission has been one of the sponsors of this event. The latest one took place on  September 23-25 and gathered more than 300 people from all the regions of Ukraine as well as from abroad.

The program of the Seminar included Bible lessons, prayers, singing, baptisms, exchange of experiences in Christian ministry, distribution of Christian literature, and warm Christian fellowship of brothers and sisters. This year, Eastern European Mission provided each participant with a set of Christian literature consisting on the New Testament, Children’s Bible, and the Songbook. It was good to see that people thirst for the Word and receive these gifts with gladness.

As every year, there were several students of the World Bible School who came to the Seminar with the desire to be baptized. This year, 11 people were immersed in the waters of the Black sea. Most people come back from the Seminar feeling inspired to serve the Lord. Some of them even establish new congregations in their towns or villages.

The Seminar ended with a general worship service to glorify God in singing, prayer, and preaching, and to show the unity of all believers.  It also served the purpose of showing the new converts see how to conduct a worship service so that they can continue to do so upon their return home.

Praise be to the Lord, that thanks to the mutual effort put forth by the ministers of numerous Churches of Christ, we are able to inspire Christians to continue following Jesus and encourage them to establish new churches. This is how we fulfill the Christ’s commandment “go into all the world and preach the Gospel…” (Mark 16:15).
